_______Launching 2000 open libraries in Iran's mosques_______
The secretariat of the country's cultural and artistic clubs of the mosques announced the launching of 2000 open libraries in all the mosques over the country. "Saeed Arbab Soleimani" said: The cultural clubs of the mosques have increased from 2000 in year 2005, to 6000 in 2008. And by the end of this year we will have 9000 cultural clubs in the mosques all over the country.
Saeed Arbab Soleimani who was in Qom for introducing the province's new secretariat of mosques' cultural and artistic clubs on May 31, said: Not all the mosques have the space for launching a library, so we have started to prepare open libraries in Shabistans (vast open space where people pray). By this method 2000 open libraries will be opened in the mosques all over the country.

Arbab Soleimani considered this method effective in promoting the culture of reading.

He also referred to providing the mosques' libraries with educational supplementary books saying: In 2007 about 2 milliard tomans (two million dollers) was spent for buying these kinds of books for mosques' libraries. A number of these books were sent to the mosques in 2006 and the rest were sent in 2007.

According to Mr Arbab Soleimani the budget set for these libraries was 10 Million tomans 4 years ago but has increased to 200 million tomans in 2009.

Saeed Arbab Soleimani said: The cultural clubs of the mosques have increased from 2000 in year 2005 to 6000 in 2008. And by the end of this year we will have 9 thousand cultural clubs in the mosques all over the country.
